Upgrading old cell phone jammers to activate the 5G jamming function

After reading the last article "Why should you upgrade your equipment to use 5G jammers?" about 5G signals, I found that there was something that old customers were concerned about that I forgot to analyze in the last article. Today, I will further analyze whether the old cell phone jammer can be upgraded to achieve the 5G signal jamming function.

In recent years, the widespread use of 5G smartphones has also presented new challenges for technologies that cause interference with mobile phone signals. We found that many customers were faced with a tricky dilemma where they had to interfere with mobile signals: Do they need to jam 5G cell phone signals? This problem has led customers to review the performance of their existing equipment and focus more on upgrading older cell phone jammers.

As a device manufacturer, we often receive inquiries from customers, especially about how existing devices can be upgraded to meet 5G signal jamming requirements while saving costs. In the following, I answer these questions, discuss the feasibility of upgrading older cell phone signal jammers and make specific suggestions.

Confirm the device compatibility

The first step in upgrading an old cell phone signal jammer is to confirm the compatibility of the existing device, including the availability of the device, the model and the after-sales status of the original manufacturer. There is actually an easy way to assess this. Our factory has reserved upgrade space for devices that can upgrade signal interference functions or increase interference functions. In other words, the device must have more antennas. Only when the device itself has a large number of antennas can we replace the interference function of a certain signal with a 5G signal interference function. (We need to replace the components of the device).

If customers are unsure about any of the above, we recommend that they contact the original manufacturer of the device to find out more about whether the device is scalable and what upgrade options are available. In our experience, jammers purchased four to five years ago were generally not equipped with upgrade options and it is only in the last two to three years that most manufacturers have started to make room in the module installation for device upgrades.
