WLAN jammer

What is a WLAN jammer?

When we talk about WLAN jammers we actually mean devices that interfere with Wi-Fi signals. However, the three most common frequency bands for WiFi signals are WiFi 2.4G, WiFi 5.2G and WiFi 5.8G. Among them, WIFI2.4G appeared earlier than WIFI5.2G and WIFI5.8G. Finally, WIFI2.4G currently has the highest global penetration rate compared to the other two signal frequency bands.

We can say that devices that interfere with WIFI2.4G signals are WIFI jammers, and we can also say that devices that interfere with WIFI5.2G and WIFI5.8G signals are WIFI jammers. However, due to the current signal penetration, WIFI2.4G has a higher penetration rate, so the devices that can interfere with WIFI2.4G are the most basic and important. Normally, devices that can interfere with WIFI5.2G and WIFI5.8G signals can also interfere with WIFI2.4G signals.

Currently, many Bluetooth devices, microwave ovens, smart door locks, various sensors and other Wi-Fi connected devices still only support 2.4G signals. In most cases, the Wi-Fi signal you need to jam is only 2.4G Wi-Fi.
