If you need to buy a jammer, it means that you are being disturbed by interfering signals. Signals are a great tool that is beneficial to our lives and work, but sometimes they can be disruptive. Take my own life as an example. When I read the product details of SDPW6PRO I mentioned that I live in a large apartment building and my bedroom is covered by many different WiFi signals, so I use SDPW6PRO in my bedroom. Turn SDPW6PRO on when I go to bed so there is no wifi signal in the bedroom and I can sleep without signal interference. I really like SDPW6PRO, so I recommend it to you! This is an example of how I use jammers in my life, but many different customers have different needs than I do. So to help you find the right jammer for you, I will now analyze how to choose a jammer.
I will first summarize several factors that I recommend considering before selecting a jammer, and each factor will be analyzed in detail below:
- The frequency of the device we want to block.
- The output power of the device we want to interfere with.
- The output power that the jammer should have.
- The distance at which the jammer interferes.
- Do I need a separate switch for each band?
- Is the power source a battery, direct current or a car charger?
- How long does the battery of the jammer last?
- The cooling system of the appliance?
- Do I need a portable or desktop device?
Let me analyze the importance of each factor for you:
1. the frequency of the device we want to block.
All jammers can only interfere with certain frequencies. Let's go back to my example above where I use SDPW6PRO. This is because I only need to jam WIFI2.4G, WIFI5.2G and WIFI5.8G. Also, I only use it in a small area in my bedroom. The SDPW6PRO WIFI jammer is very well suited to my requirements.
However, if I want to jam the WIFI2.4G, WIFI5.2G and WIFI5.8G signals, but I have purchased a GPS jammer, the GPS jammer will not jam the WIFI signals and I cannot use the GPS jammer to make the WIFI signal disappear in my bedroom.
In other words, if you want to jam Wi-Fi signals, the jamming frequency of the device you buy must include Wi-Fi signals. If you want to jam GPS signals, the jamming frequency of the device you buy must include GPS signals. I think you understand what I mean.
2. the output power of the device we want to interfere with
If the signal device you need to jam is a signal device with high output power, it is very important for you to understand its output power. Under normal circumstances, the output power of home wireless routers, GPS signals in normal environments, etc. is not high. For example, some companies or laboratories that develop and research signaling devices may use high-power devices.
Let me give you an example. You want to interfere with the cell phone signal that your child is using at home to play with his cell phone. Generally, the cell phone signal is not strong because you can assume that the base station is not close to you. The distance from the base station to your home and your child's cell phone is usually long, which means that the signal strength of the cell phone signal is not high in normal environments. Of course, if your home is close to a base station, your cell phone signal will definitely be stronger.
Since the signal strength we need to jam is not strong enough in most cases, most jammers can meet your requirements. However, if you know that the signal device you want to jam has a high output power, you will need to purchase a high output power jammer such as the SDP16DT.
3. the output power that the jammer should have
This is an important point to know when buying a jammer, because in order to jam a specific area or a specific device, you should first know the output power of the jammer.
Here I would like to pass on another point of knowledge: If you want to jam a 10W signal device, it doesn't mean you have to buy a 10W signal jammer. You need to know that during the transmission process, all signals will be lost, including the obstructions that occur during the transmission process and so on. Even if there are no obstructions, there will be losses. For example, if the output power of the signal device you want to jam is 10W, but you only need to jam the signal a few dozen meters away from the signal device, then the actual signal power to be jammed may be less than 1W. If you want to jam the signal device with a high output power from a very short distance, you will of course need to buy a jammer with a higher output power.
4. the distance at which the jammer interferes
It is very important to understand the environment in which we need to jam the signal. The higher the power of the jammer, the greater the jamming distance, while the opposite is true for lower power jammers. The maximum jamming distance that we specify on the product detail page is normally tested in an obstacle-free environment with a signal strength of -75 dBm. If you know that the location where you want to jam is very close to the signal base station, I recommend that you buy a high power jammer.
5.do I need a separate switch for each band?
Whether you need to buy a jammer with a separate switch for each frequency band depends on your usage requirements. Let me give you an example. Our product SDP10DT is purchased by many schools and parents to prevent children from playing with cell phones or cheating on exams. SDP10DT interferes with 2G 3G 4G 5G WIFI signals. Due to the usage requirements of schools and parents, a separate switch is not required for each frequency band. So I said that different devices have their own usage scenarios.

6. is the power source a battery, direct current or a car charger?
The power supply of the product is described on the details page of each product. Most portable jammers have built-in batteries. Some small, vehicle-mounted GPS jammer do not have built-in batteries, as these small, vehicle-mounted GPS jammers were originally used in vehicles and are charged via vehicle chargers.
In principle, most portable devices can be charged using a car charger in addition to a household plug. For jammers that can be charged via a car charger, a car charger is included in the product package. Most desktop jammers do not have a car charger for charging (some desktop jammers can also be charged using a car charger. For specific products, please read the product descriptions of the corresponding products I have written). This is because most customers who buy desktop jammers place them in a specific location to make them work.
7.how long does the jammer battery last?
The batteries of the jammers with built-in battery are all rechargeable and you can recharge the batteries when they are empty. Some customers are also interested in how long the jammer works after the battery is fully charged. Some customers who have to carry the jammer around with them are particularly interested in the capacity of the built-in battery. You can see the battery life of each portable jammer with built-in battery on the product page. Portable jammers such as SDP16KV with a large capacity battery of 12000 mAh are one of our best-selling products.

8.the cooling system of the appliance?
When selecting jamming equipment, cooling is the most underestimated factor for many of our customers. Without a good heat dissipation system, the jammer will experience the following problems:
Over time, the performance of the appliance decreases significantly as the temperature rises. If the temperature rises above 60°C, this will lead to permanent damage to the appliance components.
A device without a heat dissipation system has a much shorter service life than a conventional jammer with a good cooling system.
Fortunately, our jammers all have their own cooling system.
9.do I need a portable or desktop device?
Desktop jammers are usually heavy. If you need to carry the jammer around with you, we recommend that you choose a portable jammer. Portable jammers have built-in batteries and are small and lightweight.
